On June 3rd, Techdoz went to Girls in Aviation Day at the airport. The goal of the event was to educate and empower young women about STEM careers in the aviation industry. Featuring over 40 local businesses in collaboration with the airport, the event was a glowing success.
We were able to spend the day teaching future innovators about IT and airport infrastructure. With the support of our partner London Airport, we were able to feature our work with their runway report system to help students understand the many unconventional ways that technology is integrated into the airport. Finishing it off, students were challenged to create their own runway report using key environmental data and upload their report to the cloud by sending their network cable through a maze.
With IT becoming a vital role within every business, it is imperative students learn how technology will fit into their future jobs. We are so grateful to be a part of the push to increase the number of women in the IT industry. Huge thank you to Great Lakes Aviators and Greater London International Airport for creating this amazing London event for future women in STEM.
